Dive Sites
SeaScuba Padi 5* diving resort have some of the best dive sites in Tenerife and the Canary Islands. Our sites are well known to many of the diving companies in Tenerife, but we also have a few of our own, which we keep very secret, we can show you some amazing locations. This comes with experience and a constant search for new and amazing underwater worlds by our diving team. Below you may find a selection of dive sites in Tenerife we have available, but feel free to call us and discuss exactly what you would really like to experience when diving in Tenerife.
Playa De La Arena
House Reef Our House reef it is an amazing dive for all level with lot of sealife, caves and one amazing amphitheater of basaltic rock .
Max depht 16/18 meters. time 50/55 minutes of dive.
Puerto Alcala
Located approximately 5 minutes by car from SeaScuba Diving center, the dive is from shore with a depth from only 6 meter to a maximum depth of 12 meters. It’s an excellent dive site for beginners and the friendly resident turtles will get you hooked on diving for life. We can also see Moray Eels, Octopus and Cuttlefish here but if you are lucky enough, you may spot an Angel shark…
Atlantis Dive Site in Tenerife
Located just outside the Marina of Los Gigantes, here we can drop anchor on a plateau and down to the maximum depth of 26 meters. Some of the rock formations are very much like the basalt rock of giant causeway in Northern Ireland which is quite unique for a volcanic island like Tenerife.
Playa Chica
Dive for Advanced Open Water Max Depht 24 meters some time strong current.Amazing dive just 5 minutes far from our Diving Center with a lot of Sealife Cave and School of Barracudas .
Barranco Seco Dive Site Tenerife
We can split this Tenerife dive into deep or shallow depending on the level of qualification, this is one of our favorite dive sites in Los Gigantes, We can get a maximum depth of 34 meters for the more experienced diver, or we can keep it around 18 meters for open water divers. This is a good afternoon dive when most of the marine life come here to feed, we are usually visited by sting rays which are very used to divers and will come up close looking for food, some of them have a 2 meters wing span (Our gentle giants).
Echo Bay Dive Site Tenerife
This is a very easy and relaxing dive in Los Gigantes, we can drop anchor in 3 meters and the maximum depth is about 12 metres. This is one of the sites we visit for discover scuba diving in Tenerife, check out dives and training. Located under the cliffs of Los Gigantes the site has several small plateaus where marine life is in abundance.
El Puertito
This Dive Site´s main attraction is the Turtles but also has an abundance of marine life and rock formations. The Dive begins with an easy entry from shore, with the maximum depth approximately 15 meters. Ideal for Discover Scuba Divers/Try Divers and also those experienced divers looking for turtle encounters. You have the chance of fantastic photographic shots. Suitable for All levels of Divers.
Las Eras
Dive for All Level Located 45 minutes driving from our diving Center Close to the beach of Las Eras village we will find an amazing wall at 7m up to 30m max depht. You will get impressed of the wealth of fish and fauna: morays, cuttlefish, barracudas, octopuses and hopefully some rays will pass by.
Yellow Mountian Dive Site in Tenerife
Located near Costa del Silencio/Las Galletas, lovely pinnacles, with a beautiful diveable chimney. Depth up to 20 meters.
Tabaiba Wreck Dive Site in Tenerife
Tabaiba wreck is a great easy access, great for wreck specialty. This ship was sunk in 2006 and maximum depth 30 meters. A good first time wreck dive in Tenerife.
Marazul
This dive site has multiple dive routes. The dive starts in approximately 6 meters and the maximum depth can reach 30 meters dependant on level and dive planned. There are many spectacular arches and shallow blowholes to explore. Not only does the dive offer impressive rock formations there an abundance of aquatic species to include Angel Sharks, Breams, Trumpet Fish, Atlantic Damsels, Blue Fin Damsels, Cuttle Fish and Octopus. Suitable for All level of Qualified Divers. This dive is perfect for training purposes and deep dives.
Palm Mar Cave
Depth 10-30m Level Advanced. The Caves at Pal Mar are also known as Moray City. We anchor up in about 16m of water on top of a large rock plateau about 500m off shore. After descending the shot line you drop over the side of the plateau to the sea bed at 22m.
The whole wall is home to all types of Moray Eels. Following the plateau around you will come to the cave entrance at 30M, the caves themselves extend a couple of kilometers inland. All around the cave entrance you will see moray eels coming out of nearly every crevice in the wall, an eerie feeling. The cave can be entered, with care, to about 20m where there is a large rock pillar. The bottom of the cave is covered in silt and visibility can get very low. Head out a little and there is a statue of the Madona and Child placed there to bring good luck to the fishermen. Heading back up onto the plateau there are shoals of Sea Bream and Zebra Fish, Octopus and Ornate Wrasse. We have also seen Angel Sharks and Atlantic Rays, Dolphins and Pilot Whales here.
Roncadores del Palm Mar
Depth 6-22mm Level Novice. We drop anchor in about 6m on the edge of an underwater bay. Drop over the edge into about 15m and the terrain changes from rocks and sand to just sand at aboy 20m
There is a large ball of Roncardores along with Barracuda, passing Stingrays and thousands of Rainbow Wrasse and Blue Fin Damselfish. Along with the occasional Diablo Ray and Angel Sharks.
Playa Paraiso Dive
If you’re early you might experience lots of stingrays. At about 20m there’s a big anchor.
If your’re accessing the dive site from the western beach you might see a school of Roncadores.
Access from the hotel beach or our boat , jump in from the rocks or access the dive site swimming or diving from the western beach.
